THE
COMPANY
TEI can be traced back more than 75 years to
the
founding of Automotive Pattern in 1918. As the company
expanded Automotive Pattern outgrew its foundation and in 1983, evolved into TOOLING
& EQUIPMENT INTERNATIONAL, a dynamic organization with
customers around the world. By 1998, the demand for its products propelled
TEI into its new home, an 83,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art
facility, located in Livonia, Michigan.
Today TEI employs
120 people and is equipped with the latest in
technological advances in CNC machining, E.D.M. ,
validation equipment and computers as well as a full range of
CAD-CAM software.
Through investment in new technology, TEI
has enhanced its reputation around the world as a quality
tooling supplier.
To compliment TEI's
new tooling manufacturing facility, a Casting Development
Center (CDC) was incorporated on site. This facility has the
capability of producing low volume castings in most aluminum
alloys.
TEI also manufactures and distributes blowtubes
for the casting industry and carries an inventory of over 40,000
sand injector bodies in varying sizes and lengths along with
over 200,000 assorted elastomer tips. TEI is
capable of fulfilling any blowtube design need whether it be
with a standard product or a special design request. TEI
is
capable of next day delivery on ready-made products.
